Recommendations after “The Dog Stars” and “A Boy and His Dog At The End of The World”

I read The Big Stars and loved it for its appreciation of things after the end whilst still retaining some drama/peril. I read "A Boy and His Dog" and got through it in just over one sitting.

Desperate for some recommendations of books similar to this, like almost the opposite of "The Road".

I have "The Book of Koli" arriving tomorrow.
