My most loved book I have read over the last two years was Annie Hartnett’s Unlikely Animals. I love how quirky it is and that it blends such sad and serious/dark topics with humor. I am in a total book slump and I would enjoy to read other authors who have a similar style or books that are similar but am having a hard time finding them.
This time of year is all about being sad and happy at the same time (I love the holiday season but it also is marked with grief for me as I lost my dad and other family members on Christmas Day). I would love any book that celebrates the bittersweetness of life and the humor of being human.
