What was a book that made you go "I love being a woman/I love women!"? Not just one specific character but womanhood? Like I wanna read something that makes me go "damn women are so great!"
If you're not a woman and can answer that question, that's great too I just felt more women probably know what I mean

Before Eve there was Lilith by Nikki Marmery
When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill
Kind of bittersweet though, because although the metaphor is correct, I wish it were physically possible.
One of my favourite niche genres is “women forming beautiful friendships and taking on patriarchal roles/systems”
Anyways, a couple of historical fiction books that I would recommend:
– the rose code (Kate Quinn)
– the giver of stars (Jojo moyes)
Stone butch blues by Leslie Feinberg describes so many different ways to be a woman, or a person with a connection to womanhood, I would highly recommend.
It’s not exactly an happy book at all times, it’s definitely about the struggle that women and people with connections to womanhood go through, but the overall message is hopeful and inspiring as a depiction of fighting for your right to exist.
Fair warning for triggers: there are graphic depictions of violence against women, including sexual violence. Definitely a heavy read but completely worth it in my opinion.
