Hey there! So, I've hit a bit of a slump. I've been on a journey this year, reading as many books (well, ebooks) as possible. Things have been going well, but I've muddled things a bit. I've asked ChatGPT on a few occasions "can you suggest books similar to [book I had just finished and liked]", but now I find myself with a list that's like….30+ titles long??? So, I'm having a hard time choosing and just wanted to step away from the list.

Which brings me to: How do y'all find books to read? To you research extensively first? Only read books from authors you've read before? Or do any of you just pick something random (RNG, built in systems for random decisions, etc) and go from there? I know being spoiled for choice really seems like a non-issue, but I'm wondering if a small palate cleanser would work wonders for me right now, but I don't even know how to do that!

    1. Honestly? Vibes.

My TBR is pretty much made up of authors I love, recommendations from friends/family and booktok with an occasional random book that intrigued me.

I usually read like 3 to 5 books at any given time. So when I finish 1 or 2 I pick up another. If I’m really stuck and can’t decide what to read next? I just throw a bunch into a random list generator and pick from the top 5.
