Ok so lately I’ve really been wanting to read something, but there’s nothing on my shelf that’s calling to me. I kinda want to try something new. And there’s this vibe I love, but I don’t know if there are books like it?
The list of things I have that match this vibe is super random but I hope it's still understandable T-T
It’s like creepy but soft? Supernatural-ish, a bit thriller, a little horrific. More atmospheric than violent. (even tho i don't really mind if it is a murder case thing, i actually looove that too)
Stuff that gives me this feeling:
Gallant by V.E. Schwab (the only book I know with this vibe, i really liked it)
Shadows House (the manga) and also all the soundtracks (nainai, masquerade, a hollow shadow…) honestly perfect vibe
The ending song “Zero” from Vanitas no Carte
The series Khemjira and Goddess Bless You From Death (with the murder cases in the last -and btw im talking about the 3 first ep, i haven't watched the rest yet so if there is any shift in vibe i am just talking about the firsts ones)
Also really random and precise, but the pre-chorus of the song "bittersweet" by xikers (-you should better run- part)
Basically I want something with ghosts, eerie moments, mystery, maybe murder cases, but nothing super gory or extreme. Just that soft-creepy-supernatural feeling. Also i'd love if there was a love story as a subplot.
Also, i don't want to end up traumatized, i am still lwk young so nothing too hardcore plz (ㄒoㄒ)
If anyone knows books like this, please tell me! I’d love to read something that hits that vibe!
(I have no idea if it is too precise or anything im sorry if it's the case, this is the first time i do that )
(also both books in french and english are ok, even if i think here it's more english books ? i mean i don't mind the origin of the book i am just talking about the language)
