If you're a fan of postmodern fiction (a la Pynchon, Coover, Barth, and Abish) and haven't yet had the chance to read Barthelme's work, I highly recommend it. In edition to these being reissued by Picador, Dalkey Archives editions just reissued (albeit with the same old cover art) his novels The King and Paradise, also great reads!
It'll be nice to hopefully see a new generation of readers introduced to Barthelme, as his books have become a lot more difficult to find over the last decade or so.
