My father likes true crime, but nothing gory. He likes books that focus on the investigation. He read a book last year called Fool Me Once by Kelly Richmond Pope about financial crimes and really enjoyed it. He mentioned wishing he could find something similar.

*Bad Blood* and *The Big Short* are some places to start. I’ve also enjoyed Laton McCartney’s book about The Teapot Dome Scandal. The podcasts Swindled and Darknet Diaries cover many frauds/scams, so he may also enjoy those, or it could be somewhere to learn of newsworthy scams that may have books written about them.
