It’s my first Jane Austen and I absolutely loved it, I regret not reading it sooner. I’m so taken with Mr. Darcy and I need more >.<
I’m looking for a romance with high society, social rules, ballroom scenes, witty banter and a slow burn and lots of tension and yearning.
Prefer historical eras, but I’m open, as long as the romance is good. What books helped you get your P&P fix?

This may not hit the mark you’re looking for exactly, but The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno Garcia is basically a Victorian-alternate history with a touch of magic/fantasy and an Austen-like romance. High society and social rules are large part of the story line and the romance is very slow burn with tension.
If you’re open to the canary/magic elements (which are minimal compared to the actual romance) then you might like this book.
Pamela Aidan wrote a trilogy of books that is basically the time frame of Pride and Prejudice from Darcy’s point of view! The first one is ‘An Assembly Such as This” and they’re honestly quite good.
I’m not big on romance, I love P&P more for the brilliant social satire. That said, I really enjoyed “Death Comes to Pemberley” by PD James for more of Darcy and Elizabeth
I highly recommend The Unselected Journals of Emma M Lion by Beth Brower.
Read the rest of Jane Austen.
I think you will enjoy Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility.
Jane Austen wrote quite a few other books. But you also might like to check out nearly any story by P.G. Wodehouse.
You should read the play “Miss Bennett: Christmas at Pemberley.” It’s basically P&P fan fiction set two years after the book and it’s awesome. I like the writing for Mr. Darcy.
Georgette Heyer.
Read ‘a death at pemberly’
It’s literally a sequel to pride and prejudice, with all the characters etc… it’s surprisingly excellent.
