Been struggling with the notion of death for a while and its inevitability. I find that it helps to view it as something to challenge and overcome, and this poem really encapsulates that for me. I’d love to read a full length novel that deals with this as a core theme and really leans into the indomitable human spirit, last stand. I prefer fiction but if there’s a nonfiction autobiography that you swear by go ahead and give it a rec! Thanks
