My favorite genre is realistic/contemporary fiction, followed by fantasy and sci-fi, though I read other genres as well (as far as more niche genres go, I've read a few dark academia books recently and thoroughly enjoyed them). I enjoy books that handle topics of mental health and other interesting or complex ideas (ex. morality, purpose, etc.). Books with young adults or adults as the target audience are preferred, just based off the typical writing styles associated with them (I'm particularly fond of Donna Tartt's and Susanna Clarke's writing styles). I prefer books with no smut/"steamy" or "spicy" scenes.
Some books I've read and enjoyed, sorted by genre:
Realistic Fiction:
- The Secret History by Donna Tartt
- A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
- Still Alice by Lisa Genova
- The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
Fantasy:
- The Ripple Series by Cidney Swanson
- Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke
- The Prison Healer Trilogy by Lynette Noni
- The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson
Science Fiction:
- We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach
- The Cobra Event by Richard Preston
- Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
Non-Fiction (Memoir):
- When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi

I don’t know if it matches your description but I would recommend SHATTER ME SERIES. It’s one of the best dystopian romantasy I’ve read.
