I’ve been in a horror thriller mood lately, but my mom dislikes anything creepy so I have to either get innocent looking covers or hide them lol (I’m 25F, I just live at home).
I’ve been a horror movie fan for a long time and a big reader for even longer, but for some reason those interests are just now starting to intersect lol.
I really, really like Iain Reid (especially We Spread), The Only One Left by Riley Sager, and Strange Houses and Strange Pictures by Uketsu. (None of these are particularly scary but I enjoyed them. I found Iain Reid’s to be pleasantly unsettling).
But recommendations don’t have to be anything similar to those. Just anything that scared or unsettled you.
(And if you don’t have recommendations with an innocent cover, but it’s a really good book, you can recommend it anyway and if it tempts me I’ll just have to find more hiding spots 😅)
