Big fan of the TV shows Supernatural and gravity falls and looking for a read that really immerses me in the world of supernatural/fantastical creatures. It can be more How to train your dragon or more witcher I'm not picky I'm mostly just looking for something that gets IN DEPTH about the monsters/creatures and isn't having that sidelined for like, a significantly more grounded B plot (romance mostly. Romance main genre books always lose me) I like mythologies of all cultures and am not picky about whatever flavor of possible blasphemy I consume👍
I'll read anything any age, I'm mostly just trying to find an alternative to Fantastic Beasts (a book I probably would've loved if it's anything like the first film) but just can't in good conscience ever read or buy now knowing what I do.

Look into the S-Squad series by William Meikle
The Resurrectionist: The Lost Work of Dr. Spencer Black
You can also check out Fablehaven
You could try His Majesty’s Dragon, by Naomi Novik. Fantasy set during the Napoleonic wars, following a dragon and its pilot as they train together and then go to war for England. There’s a whole series, if you like it. Gets quite into the dragon breeds and genealogies and whatnot.
A Monster By Any Other Name series by Laura Rye and Bailey R. Hansen might interest you. It’s technically a romance but it’s an *extremely* slow burn – the monster POV character is so traumatized and abused that it takes most of the series to get to the point where the other POV guy even feels like he can act on his attraction.
