I just recently finished Bret Easton Ellis' "The Shards" and still suffer from severe phantom pain.
I started "The Rules of Attraction" and "Less than Zero" to fill the void but unfortunately those don't hook me at all. ☹️

now I'm looking for something new.

books I loved in recent years:
Caroline Keppnes‘ "YOU" series, "The Beach", "Gone Girl", "The Girl on the Train", Irvine Welsh's "Porno" and "The Sex Lives of Siamese Twins", Asa Akira's auto-biographies, "The Woman in Cabin 10", "My Dark Vanessa", "Sharp Objects" and "Dark Places", "Into the Water".
do you have something for me?

generally I like (but not restricted to) contemporary settings (21st century), thrillers, involvement of social media, non-boring or -stereotypical characters, generally nothing cliche, no clear black/white axis, multiple POVs, unreliable narrators… I also found out I have a thing for Los Angeles.^^

I need about 400 pages and up.
