Lately I’ve been reading Colleen Hoover and Freida McFadden and they are the equivalent to reality tv, like they keep me so interested but the writing isn’t my favorite. Can you give me other authors that write similar to them?! 😂

Alice Feeney is so good with plot twists, so bad with prose, but the plot twists hit good enough that she works as a trashy fave
Liv Constantine if you skip all the schmaltz she puts at the end of her books
The Secret Book and Scone Society (cozy mystery series) also works really well for this if you can tune out the preachy bits
Still looking for the perfect trash writer that will keep me engaged without taxing my overtaxed brain more – thriller, mystery, horror etc NOT ROMANCE – also without doing the whole “the murderer was mentally ill” BS that enrages me every time I see it – looking forward to other people’s suggestions here!

Nora Roberts writing as J. D. Robb’s “In Death” series. More than 50 books and counting about a girlboss cop married to a shady Irish billionaire in a science fiction future. It’s nuts!
