I’ve just finished reading a book called stocking filler with my kids, which is a choose your own adventure style (choice on each page, mostly you lose). They loved it, and my eldest (11) wants more, but in their words “for bigger children this one is a bit young”
My only other experience of these is stuff like the legendary Warlock of Firetop Mountain from decades ago, which is probably a bit too much.
Is there anything in between or am I looking in vain here?

My 10 year old is fine with Warlock of Firetop Mountain, The Citadel of Chaos, and Deathtrap Dungeon.
Ahem. She was fine with those 2 years ago.
I had a couple Animorphs ones when I was around that age. A lot of the options will lead to death or capture tho fyi.
There’s a Gravity Falls one if they might like that. It’s called Dipper and Mabel and the Curse of the Time Pirate’s Treasure.
