I came across "The man who watched the trains go by" by Georges Simenon (I have not read it yet). The title made me wish for an existential book. A book that will shake the very ground I stand on. I speak a very small language so English is my second language. Therefore I need something that's not too hard.
Is "The man who watched the trains go by" worth a look? Any suggestions to other books with existential themes?
I want to feel like a float inside a Radiohead song. Infinitely meaningless.

The Outsider by Albert Camus. Original title: L’Étranger
Two classics (both short, but they pack a punch) are ‘All Quiet On The Western Front’ and ‘Things Fall Apart’.
