i’ve had to DNF two books because i just was too bored by them. i would love to hear any recommendations! i don’t care about the genre or anything i just NEED A GOOD READ!!!!!
These are my three go-tos for fun, fast, escapist reads:
– **Project Hail Mary** by Andy Weir. Hilarious, lovable nerd realizes he’s been sent on a suicide mission to another star to save humanity (Ryan Gosling stars in the movie adaptation, out March 26!)
– **World War Z** by Max Brooks. written as a nonfiction oral history of the zombie plague that almost wiped out humanity. every chapter is a new person, from all over the world. The worldbuilding is phenomenal but changes every chapter.
– **One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories** by BJ Novak. Writer and guest star from the American version of The Office published this anthology of funny short stories that have that deadpan, absurdist humor i love from the show.

My favorite book is To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis. I reread it often. It is a charming missing object time travel mystery with a sprinkle of dry wit.

I’m going to mention that Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series has 41 books. These are split into six or seven collections of different characters, themes, locales. Im sure any reader could find several books they love in Discworld.
That the thing about fans of Discworld. The will probably never agree on which book or collection is the best one, but they all agree they love Discworld.
My fave collection is the city watch series. My fave book is probably _Thud!_
Or maybe _Feet of Clay_
