I'm looking for some book recommendations for my son. He's 11 and loves to read. My wife and I alternate nights reading at bedtime and we're not afraid to push the limits a bit for his age. He often re-reads books alone after we've read them together.
Some of books we've read recently:
- Jurassic Park
- Lord of the Rings
- Project Hail Mary
- Charlie Thorn Series
- Harry Potter books (10x)
- Wildwood
- Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
- Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Scifi, adventure, fantasy are good. We prefer "adult" books to "young adult" and want to stay away from heavy themes (mental illness, violence, sex).
(I can't wait to get into Patrick O'Brien when he's older but right now it's way too dense)
