Mother’s Who Can’t Love is similar but focuses on mother-daughter relationships. I found it had better actionable advice

This book was such a gut punch to me and I had to sit with it for a while after reading. I read Attached by Amir Levine and Rachel Heller, which sort of went along with a lot of what I’d realized reading Adult Children.

*Becoming Better Grownups* by Brad Montague was fantastic.
Also, not self-help, but a lot of Becky Chambers and Leigh Bardugo’s writing has helped me work through issues because they write complex, very human characters and it’s helped me connect with different parts of myself. Particularly *Ninth House* and *A Psalm for the Wild-Built*.
