I’ve recently gotten to know a woman in my neighborhood who has brain cancer, it sounds like it is terminal and she might not have a lot of time. She can’t work and her husband works 60+ hours a week so she is home alone a lot. I only know a little about her, she’s in her early 30s, she and her husband are from El Salvador, she loves animals and she said she loves to read and reads everything. She told me she always wanted a house full of books. And they’re pretty broke as all their money has gone to cancer treatments. So obviously I want to buy her a big stack of books. Looking for recs in Spanish (original or translated) or Spanish and English, she speaks English but not fluently. Probably some light hearted entertaining reads, but any suggestions would be great! I’m assuming/hoping it won’t be hard to buy Spanish language books online somewhere (I’m in the US). Thanks in advance and sorry for the sad story
