Lately I’ve been really intrigued and honestly a bit disturbed by the state of the world. Everything feels strange, and it’s hard to even know where to start.

I don’t believe in any religion, but I respect all of them. I don’t see people through labels like name, caste, or faith. I judge individuals by how they treat me, nothing else.

What genuinely concerns me is how social media has messed with our attention spans and how easily narratives are pushed. We scroll through reels and shorts without really questioning what we consume. Algorithms feed you content based on identity, religion X versus religion Y, country versus country, and it’s done in a very subtle but powerful way. Even the background music, often devotional, feels designed to emotionally anchor the message so it stays in your head and subconscious mind.

Over time I’ve become more practical. Life does that to you. A lot of this noise feels pointless, yet it’s impossible to ignore how deeply it influences people, including us, without us even realizing it.

I want to read something that actually helps make sense of reality. How history, power, media, and psychology have shaped the way we’re conditioned to believe certain narratives today. Not propaganda. Just grounded, honest, thought-provoking work.

If anyone has suggestions on where to start, I’d genuinely appreciate it, because there’s always a way to connect the dots.
