Hi! I gift books to each member of my family every year and am stuck on my husband this year. He mostly reads at night before falling asleep, and he does a lot of rereading, so getting buy-in for a new book isn't easy. His favorite book of all time is Ender's Game (he's not so big into the rest of the series, although he does really like the whole Shadow series) and he reads a ton of Clive Cussler (mostly the Dirk Pitt series). He enjoys military histories, esp. WWII, like Band of Brothers. Some YA fiction has clicked for him – Hunger Games, Ready Player One, Steelheart – but he couldn't get into Red Rising, which I thought would be a winner (to be fair, this was in an audiobook phase and maybe he just didn't like narrator). He also likes Agatha Christie but it's a bit more of a commitment/investment for him – I'm hoping to find something that will really just draw him in. Any suggestions? Trying to avoid anything too heavy on explicit scenes or with a ton of language.
