Found The King in Yellow in my garage, what even is this book?
Found a book called The King in Yellow while cleaning the garage of a house I bought. I honestly don’t know what it is. My 14 year old son is excited to read it, is it any good or appropriate for his age?
You took the time to post this question, but couldn’t just google the title?
Or, you googled it, got a description of what it is, and don’t understand what that description means.
As for whether it’s age appropriate for a 14 year old, it’s probably right on the border, depending on his maturity, reading experience, and capacity to handle horror.

…I’m not sure if you’re posting this as some in character joke (the King in Yellow drives people mad who read it).

Is that really a book people just have lying around? Lol. It’s a late-nineteenth century collection of proto-weird fiction stories. It will be fine.
A 14 year old is old enough to not need external censoring anyway.
