I’ve gotten a lot of good recommendations here in the past and am working on my list for 2026.
Literary fiction is what I enjoy the most. I love classics but have read a lot so if you recommend it I might have read it before.
I’m trying to avoid books that focus heavily on trauma and abuse. It’s been a rough past year and I’m reading for pure escapism.
Sci-fi is ok but not into fantasy or romance

I tried Ann Patchett’s Tom Lake but found it boring. However, I tend to really enjoy books that she recommends
