Generally people gets asked about the most memorable first lines in a book, but I’ve hardly seen lists of memorable epigraphs.
Here are three that immediately come to my mind:
Deathly Hallows: “Bless the children, give them victory now” (from Aeschyllus)
Under the Dome: “It’s a small town, son so we all support the team” (from a song by James McMurtry)
Hurricane Season: “All of the elements are real. Some of the characters are invented” (from Jorge Ibargüengoitia)
