I don't actively read books. The last time I actually sat down and read a book (Before now; I am currently reading Robert W. Chambers' 'The King in Yellow') was in 2019. I'm looking to get back into literature as a whole.
Some books I've enjoyed are:
- H. P. Lovecraft's "The Dunwich Horror"
- Daniel Keyes' "Flowers for Algernon"
- Sylvia Plath's "The Bell Jar"
- Iain Banks' "The Wasp Factory"
- C. J. Skuse's "Sweetpea"
- Walter C. DeBille Jr.'s "What Lurks Among the Dunes"
- Frank Belknap Long's "The Hounds of Tindalos"
Needless to say, there is almost a theme here. If it helps, other pieces of media I enjoy are the shows Yellowjackets and Stranger Things, and the movies Dancer in the Dark, Hereditary, and Aniara.
From my taste alone, are there any other pieces of literature I may enjoy? Thanks!
