He’s 29. Hasn’t ever really been interested in reading for fun but now wants to start. Maybe if I tell you what sort of tv shows he likes that may help with book suggestions? He loves GOT/HOD, Peaky Blinders, House of Guinness, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Band of Brothers, Severance, Yellowjackets, Pluribus, Fallout. He definitely likes sci-fi and dystopian stuff, as well as history and politics. I think he’ll need something fast paced that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

One of my all time favorites is the Dresden Files series.
Urban fantasy in Chicago where the Mc is a wizard that works similarly to a private investigator on the magical side of things.
The Expanse series
Tell him to read Game of thrones, the book series is titled a song of ice and fire. The first book is basically the same but the later books differ from what I’ve heard (I haven’t finished it yet)
Red Rising is the one. I almost guarantee he will devour this series
