I released my latest book a couple of months ago, not really expecting much. One day, my aunt called me and asked if she could get a signed copy.

I thought this was pretty bizarre, but then she explained that her son (my cousin, who i barely speak to because he is currently in prison for dealing drugs) wanted a signed copy as apparently it has been a hit!

Anyway long story short, I also ended up sending some signed books to his 'prison friends' daughter, as I imagine your dad being locked up at Xmas isn't the best (my good deed for the year coming so late in the game)

Anyone else have a similar story, of strange success?

    The book in question

    1. well, no stories similar to yours op. but as today is 21 December it is officially ’gravy day’ in Australia. It commemorates a Paul Kelly song where the lyrics are about someone spending Christmas in prison and he is usually the one who makes the gravy for the Christmas meal. so, there you go.
