I am a pessimist and always have anxiety. Last book i loved was midnight library which changed my perspective. Are there any such books? Please suggest , need for holidays
The Midnight Library was such a game changer! You might really dig “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” or “Anxious People” by Fredrik Backman – both gave me those same warm fuzzy feelings without being too preachy about it

I really enjoyed The Midnight Library.
Matt Haig’s The Comfort Book was good. Though not a novel.
I also really like Ask Again, Yes. Idk if it would help with anxiety, but it’s about two families whose lives intersect over many decades. It definitely has moments of friendship, overcoming tragedy, and the passing of time.

– Psalm for the Wild Built (sci-fi with a positive outlook – has really shifted my view of possibilities)
– House on the Cerulean Sea (cosy fantasy)
– Authenticity Project (found-family story)
– Siddhartha (inspiring allegory)
– The Alchemist (another – more divisive – allegory)
– Illusions (for me, a life-changing allegory)
