Haven’t read a single book this year. Where do I start?
Haven’t picked up a book in a long time. Want to get back into the habit. What’s one book that pulled you out of a reading slump or reminded you why reading is awesome?
Same . Due to reading slump I took the count of monte of christo whole year . Also having more than 30+ physical un read books . I don’t know what to do.

Some books I always suggest for a slump
1. Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
2. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
3. Into the Wild Jon Krakauer

I read for a living, but for leisure, I’ve been reading Flowers for Algernon. I felt late to the game with that one, but it’s very good. I recommend that book.

Do you have any old favorites? Finding books with similar vibes might do it!
I grew up loving fairy tale retellings, so Uprooted by Naomi Novik was my gateway back to reading after college. And “guilty pleasure” reads like predictable romances and shorter, fast-paced thrillers pull me out of my occasional reading slumps now. I call them my palate cleansers 😁
Edit: Adding in that audiobooks were a game changer for me! Sometimes my slump is because I feel guilty or distracted focusing on just one thing, so I’ll pop on an audiobook while cleaning, driving, doing puzzles or other hobbies, etc.!
