Hey, I was wondering if there were some good book series that are simmilar to the realistic fiction pieces Harry Potter and Vampire Academy. I know they arent the most niche picks but theyre book series ive loved for a very long time and were the books i last read before i stopped reading. im hoping to get back into reading and I dont wanna reread harry potter for the 20th time

Check out A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik. It’s kind of like Harry Potter except the magic school is filled with monsters who are always trying to trick and kill the kids, it’s a lot of fun!
If by *realistic* you mean fantasy stuff that’s set in our own world, that’s usually called “Urban Fantasy”, and you might like some of the classics of that genre.
A good one is The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, starting with Storm Front. It’s a series about a wizard Private Eye detective living in Chicago, dealing with supernatural cases.
Another fun series is Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. The audiobook narrated by Jeff Hays is really good, I’d recommend checking out that version if you can! A regular dude from Seattle and his ex-girlfriend’s cat are pulled into a real life video game ‘dungeon’ when aliens bring about the end of human civilization.
