Lately I've been finding myself on a 3 book rotation that goes like this:
1 – A classic. Doesn't have to be super strict in the sense of the term. It could just be any well respected, well known book.
2 – Educational or autobiographical. Some type of non fiction that will teach me something about a subject. Doesn't have to be boring. Right now I'm reading a memoir from one of my favorite bands members.
3 – Fun! Anything I want basically! Fiction, graphic novel, etc. I just finished Let the Right One In and loved it!
Let me know, happy holidays readers!!

I usually double up. I will do a fiction with a non-fiction.
One. I’ve never understood being able to read more than one. I like to really immerse myself, and I read as often as I can. I also read very long books generally, so maybe that has something to do with it. Anything below 600 pages, I’ll finish in less than a week, usually. Currently plugging through 2666, and I can’t imagine trying to juggle another book on top of that one.
2-3 but it’s usually a physical book, an audio book, and an ebook so I have something different depending on my circumstances.
Just one book at a time. I can’t handle more, my mind just doesn’t work that way.
I like to read paper books during the day and ebooks in bed in the dark so generally two.
Three if I also have an audiobook on the go!
I usually do one physical book and one audiobook at a time. It takes me a long time to get through audiobooks though, so I’m usually reading multiple physical books (one physical book at a time) before finishing one audiobook.
too many
I usually do 2-3 books..I have one i read at night at home. One i read at work and an audio book i listen to while driving.
Right now? Seven. Three on audiobook. Two e-books. Two physical books.
2-4. At least one audiobook and a physical book. I sometimes have a “falling asleep” audiobook and an “in the car paying attention” audiobook. I always have a novel and sometimes have a non-fiction or French book as well.
I am always listening to one and reading one. I usually will have a “heavier” or slow moving book on the go in the background too which I read to fall asleep if my current read is very fast moving and is keeping me awake.
That’s so cool.
I read like 2 books at a time. And I know this is bad but I start and leave and resume them later, lol.
It depends, between 3 and 6. I usually rotate between:
1 – A nonfiction audiobook (while doing housechores) – at the moment Adventures in Fermentation
2 – A main book at home – Primavera, Estiu, etc.
3 – A short stories or chapter book for commuting and appointments – The Star diaries
4 – A book I read aloud to my oldest daughter – Bromeliad trilogy
5 – A graphic novel – Corto Maltese L’Integrale
6 – A reference book that takes many months or years to go through – Greek Myths and Revolutionary Spring.
Usually one, I find that I stop reading one if I try to read two. But sometimes if I am reading something more challenging, I will take a break and read something less intense.
Usually 3 to 5 at any given time.
Always at least one audiobook, ebook and physical book. Sometimes library books I have on hold will add on to this.
Right now I’m reading four.
