been trying to force it for a little while, but, my god, my attention span is shot. i’m a third-screen kinda gal / an overgrown ipad kid. i absolutely adore the idea of reading, I’m in love with storytelling. Most of what I’ve done my entire life is watch TV and seek out storytelling in every medium besides books. I know I want to read, it’s just very hard for me to sit down and focus. For example: I’m currently holding my phone over a book and typing this. something to enthrall me, please please, i beg.
I am open to any suggestions, but some info about me for reference: 21yo, lesbian (so definitely not into hetslop unless it’s funny), autistic. i love comedy, history (especially victorian, medieval, and french revolution, but just history in general), and prose. my absolute favorite book of all time is frankenstein (which took me forever to finish), because it’s so rich and funny (in a dry, victorian sorta way). comedy suggestions would be much appreciated, comedy keeps my attention easier than most other things.
