Just finished The Darkness They See by Sam Brannick. Loved how real the characters felt—cops who actually cared and weren’t written like tough-guy heroes. I also liked that everyone had something to hide. Looking for similar detective thrillers. Any recs?

The Dublin Murder Squad books by Tana French are the benchmark for this, in my opinion. They started with In the Woods, but follow a different detective in the department with each book so don’t strictly need to be read in order.
