Hello everyone. Lately, I've had the strange urge to start reading books. I was never much of a reader growing up, could barely find any interest in the books my school would make me read, so do bear with me and my lack of knowledge.
I'm quite into fantasy-related media, specifically ones that have a focus or a subplot to romance. My favourite piece of media is Berserk, and I thoroughly enjoyed Game of Thrones, Kingdom Come Deliverance and The Witcher game series. Before anyone suggest *reading* Game of Thrones or The Witcher, I'm not much of a fan of re-visit a piece of media in a different form, nevermind re-watching it (will be reading GoT ending though, if you know what I mean). Same rule applies to Berserk, as I've read the manga entirely and don't plan on watching the animated movies/series.
Anyway, if you couldn't tell, I'm very much into kingdom-like, dark fantasy themes. I love me a little tragedy here and there, but ultimately, I've got a particular love for romance. However, none of that "knight in shining armor" bullshit, or anything that's just bare basic. I love a strong MC, but I also love when the MC has equally as strong side-characters or their partner is just as vicious as them. I hate those "man strong, woman petite" tropes with a passion, so I tend to avoid that kind of media.
I am open to all lengths of books, long as they interest me, yknow? I wouldn't mind reading a 500 page book if it peaks my interest. And I don't care if the romance is about gay people, I am open to all and any romance.
I apologise if my preference is a bit tough to find, but honestly, I will take anything that has either just fantasy or just romance, I don't mind. I would just *prefer* if it was a sort of romance book in a fantasy/kingdom world. Nevertheless, I am open-minded and will take all considerations. Thanks!
