I wanted to be more intentional with my reading this year so I developed a plan. I hadn’t read any dickens before this month. Started with a Christmas Carol. Wasn’t sure where to go after that. What do we think? I’ll just post the first few months.

    2026 Reading Plan

    1. Complete full read through of the bible.

    2. Choose one classic author with over 12 published books and read one of their books per month: Charles Dickens

    3. Choose one non-work topic you’d like to become more knowledgeable on and read one book per month on that topic (mostly non-fiction): Zionism and the Palestine/Israeli Conflict

    4. Read one professional development book per quarter.

    5. Participate in the Guild book club-meet local people and try to make some friends

    6. Make my way through my physical TBR-mood reading

    7. Use Libby app more instead of buying books-support libraries to ensure funding.

    8. Buy used books whenever able.

    9. Support small business bookshops. Don’t buy any books from Amazon.

    10. Read a minimum of 60 books in 2026

    11. Read on kindle when doing cardio

    12. Read at least 15 non fiction books

    13. Read One Short story at least 5 days per week-The Stinging Fly, Hemingway, Daphne Du Maurier

    14. Sell books that aren’t favorites
