What’s the best book that can be read in layman terms about the universe and for someone who is not an expert in physics?

Isaac Asimov wrote quite a few great books on space and the universe. They are dated by this point, being ~50 years old, but most of the important stuff is still correct as far as I know.

The one I REALLY enjoyed was “The Tragedy of The Moon”, which was somewhat about how if our moon were in orbit around Venus instead of Earth, it may have set space science ahead by a couple hundred years. Specifically the fact that the moon and sun are visually similar sizes messed with early concepts of gravitational dynamics.
