When the supermarket concept exploded in the 50s-60s, people had access a broad spectrum of foods they never did before. As such there were quite a few weird recipes (most infamously, people put just about anything you could think of into a jello, casserole, or loaf). A lot of the recipes were awful, but I am of the opinion that a lot of them were real close misses.
Does anyone know of a good large cookbook from this era, preferably with pictures, that I could use? Or perhaps where I could go to do more digging for one?

There may not be pictures, but I would start tracking down old cookbooks put together by churches, libraries, ladies auxiliaries, etc., I’ve found a lot of interesting recipes that way.
