Suggest me a book to get back into reading after disliking a fantasy series I spent too much time on.

Hi all! I spent this year reading Throne of Glass and while it had its good moments, I really didn’t enjoy it overall and found it kind of exhausting. This is surprising because I LOVED ACOTAR and Fourth Wing. I probably should have shelved it sooner, but everyone kept saying it gets better, which I didn’t find true.

Since finishing the TOG series and being a little jaded by it, I’ve found it hard to find motivation to pick up another book/series and would love some recommendations to help.

I have been on a fantasy/romantasy kick but I also love other genres too like mystery/thrillers or contemporary stories with drama (desperate housewife esque). I’m open to all suggestions including standalone or series! Thanks for your help if you took the time to read this!
