I’ll keep it brief- I’m an American staying in Australia currently, queer, and I think authoritarian fascist regimes are bad. This year has pushed me to my absolute limit and I feel very afraid and alone. I’m really struggling to cope.
Looking to find some reads in a similar vein as Diary of Anne Frank, but rather from the POV of German citizens who did not agree with or bend the knee to their governments ideology and actions. I’m hoping it might bring a bit of comfort or at least some sense of solidarity to read the stories of people who likely felt similarly as I do now.
Most of my go-to coping mechanisms are uhh, not recommended by 9/10 doctors we’ll say, so I thought I’d come ask around in here for any suggestions because I don’t know where to even start looking for that kind of material & I’d rather try not to set myself on fire to stave off the cold, if you catch my drift.
Thanks in advance
