I've been very interested in consuming media recently about Ireland & Northern Ireland during the Troubles or really just 20th century Irish history in general (Derry Girls, Sing Street, Say Nothing).
I read mostly fantasy in general but The Book Thief is my all time favorite and I want to scratch that kind of itch again, if it is possible to find a similar book but based in late 1900s Ireland.

It’s is not really fantasy but more of a thriller; Lies of Silence by Brian Moore is set in 1960-70s Ireland and talks about a protgonist who is kidnapped by the IRA in order to bomb a hotel.
