I recently read the books Black AF History and An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States and was looking for other similar books.
-Books that focus on the voices, communities, or experiences that aren't usually centered in mainstream history books.
-Books that books that challenge simplified or incomplete historical narratives and provide more context, nuance, and firsthand experiences.
-Books that made you rethink what you were taught or not taught about a historical event or time period.
I'm open to reading and learning about any event in time, any period in time, and about any group of people. Thank you in advance for your suggestions and happy holidays, everyone. <3
