Even before January 20th the year was depressing. But at least I was reading mysteries and literary fiction but is the year progressed. I escaped into lighter and lighter reading. I actually read an entire series about a bookstore with a magical tree in it. I would not have picked up such a book any previous year but now I'm on the hunt for more absolutely nonsensical books that don't make me care about people and don't make me work very hard.
Especially the caring about people, I just don't want to not not when reading the news makes me cry.

Do you like dry humour? David Sedaris books are hilarious and easy to read, and actually good too.
