We also read Flowers for Algernon … and watched the movie version after.
Did the same for Cuckoo’s Nest.

Not sure “enjoyed” is the right word, but I found The Bell Jar deeply impactful

Flowers for Algernon, which absolutely devastated me. Just thinking about the ending makes me want to cry again. Not to be dramatic but…It’s a book which I would reread *only* if I absolutely needed to wallow in despair and depression.
Ethan Frome, which I really loved for its tragic ending. Total opposite to my FfA reaction. Weird, right?

I think we all had to read lord of the flies 😂
All Quiet on the Western Front
Life of Pi and And Then There Were None!
Winesburg, Ohio
Of Mice and Men was a common one back then.
