My dog has to be put down this week…suggest me some books.
I’m open to books that’ll cheer me up, distract me, help me grieve, anything. I love thrillers, mysteries, and horror but I’m open to all. Preferably on Kindle.
when i was grieving i read Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett. The grim reaper gets fired for being inefficient so goes to live a mortal life while no souls are being ferried on. it’s a random book in the Discworld satirical fantasy series, but it gave me a cathartic cry and some tension breaking giggles. (the books are all stand alone so you don’t have to care it’s mid series)

Find Momo Everywhere by Andrew Knapp. It’s a picture book (stay with me) all about grieving the loss of the author’s beloved dog Momo. It’s heartbreaking and beautiful and hopeful.
