I don’t read much sci-if but I enjoyed these: An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green, and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
I’m about to listen to Project Hail Mary as I e heard nothing but good things about it.

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir was a great read (audiobook is also a treat). The Expanse by James S.A. Corey is a really good book series with suspense politics and adventure.
