Has anyone ordered from bookdepot (.com or .ca) without it being on official behalf of an organisation?
I'm a teacher and they have some great books for my classroom library (and also for me…), but I would be buying them with my own money. I initially thought that would be fine since one of the options for type of buyer is "teacher", but there's nothing in their FAQs about whether I have to be buying with school funds/board approval.
Their marketplace agreement seems to focus mainly on not reselling on marketplaces, but it does say: 1) The information provided is true and accurate reflection of my business/organization with Book Depot. 2) I am authorized to enter into and perform the obligations under this agreement on behalf of my business/organization.
Would they contact my school to check that I'm allowed to buy these books? I doubt my principal would care, since I'm not using school money, but our secretary tends to fly off the handle about procedure and all contact goes through her…

I would really recommend asking m a teachers sub. There are probably a few of them.
