As the title says: I’m having trouble following along with this book Recursion and I’m considering starting a new book. I started this book right after Dark Matter which I enjoyed a lot. Not so much with this one.
I got a couple new books for Christmas (Fahrenheit 457 & The Road) and I’m just looking for thoughts as to which one to jump into. Figured someone here may have been in a similar situation

Could you be more specific? I generally struggle with audiobooks unless I’m really actively listening but I found once I hit a certain point with this one, it really *clicked*. Having a male and female narrator really helped.
I’d strongly encourage you to recommit or change formats (book to audio or vice versa). This was my first Blake Crouch book and I adore the ending.
Life’s too short for books that don’t work for you.
If you’ve read Dark Matter, Recursion is a little derivative thematically. Best to put it down if you aren’t enjoying it! I’d choose The Road over Fahrenheit 457, but I’m a glutton for punishment and I’m always looking for ways to make myself emotionally vulnerable.
Idk anything about that book so can’t help you there. As for choosing what to read next, all other things being equal I just open each at a random page and read a paragraph. I usually know which one to go with after that
I didn’t like this one. Somehow I got the distinct impression that the author wanted to write an action movie script rather than a book – there’s a repeated scene near the end which I think was really more gratuitous with violence than the author earned and it left a bad taste in my mouth
