Great Gatsby (not just 20’s themed)
I absolutely love The Great Gatsby. I’ve read it so many times along with other works from FSF. The one thing I love about The Great Gatsby is the love that he had for Daisy even though it wasn’t his anymore. The way he bought the house across from her. Through the parties for her. I guess I am trying to find more books like this where a guy is giving his all to be with the woman he loves. When I google this, I only get books about the roaring 20s. Also, I don’t really want to read any of the new contemporary Rom-Com books.
I don’t know though. Maybe I’m asking too much.

While it doesn’t fit everything you’re looking for, Rules of civility by Amor Towles is a great read that’s set in the roaring twenties.
The French Lieutenant’s Woman by John Fowles, set in the 19th century.
