Books where a character navigates complicated family dynamics, potentially involving alcoholism?

I’d like a book where the main character navigates a complex family dynamic, such as alcoholic parents/step-parents who engage in somewhat abusive behaviors. I’d like this to be a story, not a self help book.

I’ve read Eleanor Oliphant, Demon Copperhead, The Glass Castle, Educated, and most of Frederik Backman’s books already.
